World-famous U.S. bakery café chain Cinnabon to enter Singapore in 2023

Cinnabon, the leading U.S. roll bakery café chain, is soon opening stores in Singapore, adding to its strong presence in the Asia-Pacific. The bakery café chain will launch in Singapore in February 2023 at the Raffles City Shopping Centre. It is likely to be located in the basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre.

Cinnabon is the franchisor for over 1,600 franchised Cinnabon® bakeries worldwide, primarily in high-traffic venues such as shopping malls, airports, train stations, travel plazas, entertainment centres and military establishments. It is part of the stable of food franchise brands owned by Focus brands international, who also own popular franchise brands like Jamba, Schlotzsky's, Carvel, Auntie Anne's and others.

Founded in Seattle in 1985 and now based in Atlanta, Cinnabon Franchisor SPV LLC (Cinnabon) is the market leader among cinnamon roll bakeries. Cinnabon® bakeries serve fresh, aromatic, oven-hot cinnamon rolls and a variety of other baked goods and speciality beverages. It is known for its Classic Cinnamon Roll, which includes a glaze made with Makara cinnamon and its rich, sticky cream cheese frosting that gives the roll an almost gooey consistency.

A major reason for their massive franchise success is their simple franchising model, which makes it easy to grow, and the minimal menu that provides high margins and much-needed simplicity. It also stands out for its Cinnabon Makara Cinnamon which has a sweet luscious flavour that is exclusively sourced from Indonesia.

The bakery café chain will soon expand in Saudi Arabia with local franchise partner Innovative Union Company (IUC). The two brands announced plans to grow their store count in the country from 120 to 250 stores, making IUC Cinnabon's world's largest franchisee.

The first Cinnabon opened in Seattle in 1985. Today, it has grown into an international chain with outlets in 50 countries, and Cinnabon positions itself as the 'market leader among cinnamon roll bakeries.
