Joe & Dough Opens 6th Store in Indonesia, Continues to Grow in Popularity

Written by Yash Patil, Digital Marketing Strategist, Astreem Consulting

Joe & Dough, a Singapore-based franchise that was founded in 2009, is known for its pastries, coffee, and all-day brunch. In 2018, Joe & Dough entered the Indonesian market with its first store in Plaza Indonesia. The brand has since grown rapidly in Jakarta, opening stores in Puri Indah Mall, Kokas, Gancit, and PIM 3.

On July 14, 2023, Joe & Dough opened its 6th outlet in Indonesia, which is located on the Ground Floor of the One District Puri’s shopping mall, and it is the first Joe & Dough outlet in Jakarta to have a drive-thru, with a capacity of 200 people.

The success of Joe & Dough in Indonesia can be attributed to several factors. First, the brand's pastries are made with high-quality ingredients and are baked fresh daily. Second, the coffee is roasted in-house and is of a consistently high standard. Third, the all-day brunch menu offers a variety of dishes to satisfy both sweet and savoury cravings.

Joe & Dough has adapted its menu to the Indonesian market, offering a wider variety of pastries and cakes that are popular in Indonesia. For example, the company offers various traditional Indonesian cakes, such as lapis legit and kue cucur. Joe & Dough has also partnered with local suppliers to source the best ingredients for its products.

In addition to adapting its menu, Joe & Dough has also made its stores more welcoming to Indonesian customers. For example, the company has added Indonesian-language signage and menus, and it has trained its staff to speak Indonesian.

As Joe & Dough is popular in Indonesia, the brand will likely open even more stores. The brand's strong focus on quality and customer service will ensure that it remains a popular choice for Indonesians looking for a delicious and convenient dining experience.

Here are some of the reasons why Joe & Dough is so popular in Indonesia:

  1. The pastries are made with high-quality ingredients and are baked fresh daily.
  2. The coffee is roasted in-house and is of a consistently high standard.
  3. The all-day brunch menu offers a variety of dishes to satisfy both sweet and savoury cravings.
  4. The stores are all designed to be bright and airy, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
  5. The brand offers a casual and relaxed dining experience.

Here are some of the brand's plans for the future:

  1. To open even more stores in Indonesia.
  2. To launch a delivery service.
  3. To develop new products and menu items.
  4. To expand into other markets in Southeast Asia, especially in the Philippines and Thailand

Joe & Dough is a rapidly growing brand, quickly becoming a favourite among Indonesians. With its focus on quality, customer service, and innovation, the brand is well-positioned for continued success in the years to come.
